Use
Lawful only
The service is intended for legitimate personal, editorial, research, and commercial use within your plan limits.
These terms explain the basic rules for using NFLMeta, including account responsibilities, API key handling, usage limits, and the boundaries of service availability.
Use
Lawful only
The service is intended for legitimate personal, editorial, research, and commercial use within your plan limits.
Keys
Keep secure
API keys should stay server-side and should never be exposed in public repositories or client bundles.
Limits
Plan based
Usage is governed by your request quotas, rate limits, and any account-level restrictions tied to your plan.
Accuracy
No warranty
Historical sports data may contain errors, omissions, or edge-case inconsistencies, and customers should validate critical outputs before relying on them.
Liability
Capped
Liability is limited, and customers remain responsible for misuse, unlawful use, and unvalidated downstream reliance.
NFLMeta API access is provided for lawful business and personal use in accordance with your account plan, request limits, and applicable policies.
You are responsible for using the service in a way that complies with the laws, regulations, and contractual obligations that apply to your work and jurisdiction.
Paid access, if offered, is governed by the pricing, quota, and overage terms in effect at the time of purchase or renewal.
Unless a plan or invoice states otherwise, fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins. Cancelling prevents future renewal but does not retroactively unwind prior access or usage.
We may change pricing, quotas, packaging, or plan structure in the future. Changes apply prospectively, not retroactively, unless required for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
You may use API responses in your applications and workflows subject to your plan limits and any legal obligations that apply to your business and jurisdiction.
If you depend on specific output fields or response shapes, you should build against the documented API contract and monitor release updates over time.
Historical and reference data may include source inconsistencies, editorial judgment calls, normalization tradeoffs, or incomplete records. You are responsible for reviewing whether the data is suitable for your use case before relying on it in a production, publishing, betting, compliance, or business-decision context.
We may correct, remove, reclassify, or normalize records and metadata over time as the dataset evolves.
Service is provided on an "as is" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
We do not warrant that the service, API responses, or underlying data will be error-free, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.
We may update, modify, or retire features over time as the product, data model, and infrastructure evolve.
NFLMeta is not offered with a service-level agreement, guaranteed support response time, or guaranteed uninterrupted uptime unless expressly agreed in writing.
You are responsible for validating outputs before relying on them in production systems, publications, customer-facing applications, financial decisions, or other consequential workflows.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NFLMeta and its operators are not liable for losses, damages, claims, or downstream consequences arising from inaccurate data, missing data, delayed data, service interruptions, or your use of or inability to use the service.
If liability is imposed despite the foregoing limits, total liability should be limited to the amount you paid to NFLMeta for the applicable service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NFLMeta and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these terms, infringement, unlawful activity, or content and applications you build with the service.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately if needed to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, address non-payment, or reduce security or operational risk.
These terms should be governed by the laws of the applicable operating jurisdiction for NFLMeta, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any claim relating to the service must be brought within one year after the event giving rise to the claim, or the claim is permanently barred to the extent allowed by law.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms form the entire agreement for standard self-serve use unless replaced by a written agreement signed by both parties.
NFLMeta is not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, including infrastructure outages, provider failures, denial-of-service events, labor disputes, natural disasters, government action, or internet-wide disruptions.
If you need clarification about plan limits, commercial use, suspension triggers, or legal terms, contact [email protected] before relying on an assumption in production.
If you want stronger legal certainty for larger commercial use, custom enterprise terms should be handled through a separate written agreement rather than assumed from the public self-serve page.
