The Baltimore Ravens held off the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in a game remembered for both Jacoby Jones and the blackout. Baltimore built a commanding lead behind Joe Flacco's three touchdown passes, then Jones opened the second half with a Super Bowl-record 108-yard kickoff return to make it 28-6. A power outage soon stopped play for more than half an hour, the 49ers roared back within three points, and the Ravens had to survive a goal-line stand in the final minutes before a deliberate safety and free kick ended it. Flacco earned MVP honors as Baltimore sent Ray Lewis out with a second championship.
