The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 in Super Bowl XL at Ford Field, finishing Jerome Bettis' career with a hometown championship. Willie Parker broke loose for a Super Bowl-record 75-yard touchdown run, Hines Ward caught a touchdown and earned MVP honors, and Antwaan Randle El's trick-play touchdown pass provided the signature flourish. Seattle outgained Pittsburgh in several areas, but the Steelers made the explosive plays that decided the game.
