The San Francisco 49ers demolished the Denver Broncos 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV at the Superdome, still the biggest margin of victory in Super Bowl history. Joe Montana threw five touchdown passes and earned MVP honors, Jerry Rice caught three of them, and San Francisco scored on its first five possessions to end the suspense early. George Seifert's team followed Walsh's final title with an even more overwhelming championship performance.
