Game Story
The Miami Dolphins beat the Minnesota Vikings 24-7 in Super Bowl VIII at Rice Stadium to repeat as champions and confirm that Don Shula's powerhouse was more than a one-year perfect story. Larry Csonka pounded the Vikings for 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Mercury Morris added big runs of his own, and Minnesota never recovered after Miami seized control. Csonka earned MVP honors as the Dolphins became back-to-back Super Bowl winners.
